Meet the driver and navigator

Gulschan was born in Russia  and raised in Tajikistan where she taught German at the medical university of Dushanbe. Currently she works as a free-lance medical translator. Mark was born in the Netherlands, and has spent his entire career in law enforcement and security management. He now works for a financial institution in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

It is all about team-work; Mark being the driver, mechanic, and problem solver and Gulschan being the logistics expert, intellectual driver, translator, and the one that reminds Mark occasionally that we live in a civilised world and a certain standard of living must be maintained.

One of our dreams is to discover and explore the roots of Gulschan in Russia, Tajikistan and especially the Silk Road and Pamir mountains. The Veluwe is a bit small for our overland camper...
